New Phantom at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Birmingham
Posted in News | 17/08/2017
Early this morning, Rybrook Birmingham was greeted with the arrival of the stunning new Rolls Royce Phantom. The “best car in the World” has been made even better.
The striking new exterior design features powerful laser headlights, able to project up to 600 metres ahead, and elegant LED taillights, both significantly contributing to the more contemporary appearance of the eighth-generation Phantom, which is perfectly complimented by 22-inch Part Polished Forged Alloy wheels. The car pictured is finished in Premiere Silver with Armagnac leather, and features chrome plated visible exhausts and a black coachline.
The car is built upon The Architecture of Luxury – a new aluminium spaceframe unique to the new Phantom, making it 40kg lighter than the outgoing car. No other platform is capable of supporting the Phantom’s length (6 metres) or weight (2.6 tonnes).
Powering the vehicle is a 6.75 litre, twin turbocharged V12, producing incredible torque from 1700 rpm, allowing for effortless driving and instantly accessible power.
The engine, mated to a silky smooth 8-speed gearbox, produces 563 bhp and 664 lb/ft of torque, projecting the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.3 seconds, and onward to a top speed of 155 mph.
Keeping the car elegantly gliding along the road is a self-leveling pneumatic suspension, which intelligently utilises the front facing camera to judge road conditions ahead and adjust itself accordingly, ensuring passengers ride in supreme comfort at all times.
The inside features larger and softer seats, and a revolutionised new dashboard display. The instrument dials are digital TFT colour display, replacing the outgoing Phantom’s analogue dials. 150kg of sound deadening and 6mm thick double-glazed windows ensures a high level of tranquillity inside the cabin.
Customers are able to commission artwork to feature in the dashboard, which features a new 12.3-inch TFT infotainment screen, which emerges and tucks away at the push of a button, displaying satellite navigation, media and driver assistance information.
To further add to the personalisation potential of the new Phantom, customers can specify the constellation from any date to feature in the car’s starlight headliner. Options pictured include Individual Seat Configuration, Front and Rear Massage Seats, Rear Theatre Configuration, Picnic Tables, Rear Compartment Footrests and Starlight in Oatmeal.
In addition to the Phantom VIII, Rolls-Royce Birmingham are featuring a line up of Phantoms in the Showroom including Phantom Series I, Phantom Series II and Phantom Series II Drophead.
Priced from £360,000 (Est £450,000 as pictured). Rolls-Royce Birmingham are now taking deposits. If you would like to arrange an appointment to see the new Phantom this week, please call the team on 01564 787170.
