Posted in Luxury | 22/08/2017
The new Rolls Royce Phantom has been unveiled at Rybrook Rolls Royce Motor Cars Bristol, alongside a stunning selection of #GreatPhantoms, including a 1927 Phantom Series I.
Social media superstars Lovecars were in attendance to stream the unveiling live on Facebook to over 3,000 people, as well as film a feature video of the car for their YouTube channel.
Guests were treated to a champagne reception with nibbles, and got to experience the new Phantom’s incredible features at first-hand. Accompanying the car was a beautiful sound system from Bang & Olufsen, treating the guests to a stunningly clear soundtrack.
The striking new exterior design features powerful laser headlights, able to project up to 600 metres ahead, and elegant LED taillights, both significantly contributing to the more contemporary appearance of the eighth-generation Phantom. 22-inch wheels perfectly compliment the design of the new Phantom.
The car is built upon The Architecture of Luxury – a new aluminium spaceframe unique to the new Phantom, making it 40kg lighter than the outgoing car. No other platform is capable of supporting the Phantom’s length (6 metres) or weight (2.6 tonnes).
Powering the vehicle is a 6.75 litre, twin turbocharged V12, producing incredible torque from 1700 rpm, allowing for effortless driving and instantly accessible power.
The engine, mated to a silky smooth 8-speed gearbox, produces 563 bhp and 664 lb/ft of torque, projecting the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.3 seconds, and onwards to a top speed of 155 mph.
Keeping the car elegantly gliding along the road is a self-levelling pneumatic suspension, which intelligently utilises the front facing camera to judge road conditions ahead and adjust itself accordingly, ensuring passengers ride in supreme comfort at all times.
The inside features larger and softer seats, and a revolutionised new dashboard display. The instrument dials are digital TFT colour display, replacing the outgoing Phantom’s analogue dials. 150kg of sound deadening and 6mm thick double-glazed windows ensures a high level of tranquillity is maintained inside the cabin.
Customers are able to commission artwork to feature in the dashboard, which features a new 12.3-inch TFT infotainment screen, which emerges and tucks away at the push of a button, displaying satellite navigation, media and driver assistance information.
To further add to the personalization potential of the new Phantom, customers can specify the constellation from any date to feature in the car’s starlight headliner. Options also include front and rear massage seats, in-car Wi-Fi, night vision, picnic tables and a refrigerated cool box, as well as many more.
Priced from £360,000 (Est £450,000 as pictured). Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bristol are now taking deposits. If you would like to arrange an appointment to see the new Phantom this week, please call the team on 0117 203 3970.
