Road trip with Porsche Centre Chester
Posted in News | 15/10/2019
Each year, Porsche Centre Chester organises a special drive event for its customers - a road trip like no other. Organised entirely by the Centre, the annual European road trip welcomes Porsche Centre Chester customers to a Porsche ‘drive out’ which starts in the UK and travels to Cologne in Germany and then to Spa in Belgium.
Now in its sixth consecutive year, the 2019 Porsche Centre Chester European road trip welcomed eight guests and two hosts from the Centre. Four Porsche 911 models, including two from the latest 992 generation, and a Cayenne Turbo made up a five vehicles convoy. Here is the itinerary we followed:
Day One – Lunch and then drive to Hull to catch the ferry for Rotterdam.
Day Two – Arrive in Rotterdam where we then drive to Cologne, Germany. Explore Cologne during the day followed by a group dinner in the evening.
Day Three – Go Karting tournament at Michael Schumacher’s go karting centre followed by a group dinner in the evening.
for a day on the track and some lunch, before making the journey to Spa, Belgium. Group dinner in the evening.
Day Five – Full track day at the F1 Spa Francorchamps followed by group dinner in the evening.
Day Six – Explore the town of Spa during the day with some lunch. Travel together to Rotterdam for the ferry home. Dinner on-board together.
Day Seven – Arrive in Hull for the journey home.
The annual Cologne trip is a popular event and one that always surpasses expectations. From experiencing the thrills of the Nürburgring, to competing in a go karting completion, and then having a full day of driving on the famous Spa Francorchamps circuit, there was never a dull moment.
On behalf of Porsche Centre Chester, we would like to thank the guests who joined us on this year’s road trip. We will soon be making plans for next year’s trip and look forward to welcoming back returning customers as well as new additions.
