The new Range Rover, has been further enhanced for 2011 with e-Terrain Technologies boosting economy whilst simultaneously lowering emissions.
The exciting 2011 Range Rover includes a new ‘super diesel’ in the guise of the 4.4-litre LR-TDV8. Delivering increased power (313PS – up by 15.1 per cent) and torque (up 9.4 per cent to 700Nm) whilst reducing CO2 by 14 percent (down to 253g/km) and improving fuel consumption by 18.5 percent (to 30.1mpg - EU combined), the LR TDV8 accelerates from 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds, takes just 5.1 seconds to reach 75mph from 50mph and has a top speed of 130mph.The first time an 8-speed gearbox has ever been fitted to a Range Rover, the LR-TDV8 is mated to a new ZF 8HP70 automatic transmission.
The impressive 5.0-litre Supercharged LR-V8, delivering 510PS and 625Nm torque, continues in 2011. The class-leading petrol engine married to the ZF HP28 6-speed automatic transmission takes the Range Rover from 0-60mph in a breath-taking 5.9 seconds.
As well as a revised exterior which subtly enhances the iconic Range Rover look and interior improvements, the 2011 Range Rover incorporates additional Terrain Response® features of Gradient Acceleration Control and Hill Start Assist.
