Jaguar E Type’s will celebrate their 50th birthday this year by racing within its biggest grid on 22-24th July during the Silverstone Classic. The stylish E Type Jaguar will hold a huge presence at the show, including 700 road-going E-Types on display that will then take part in the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit in a Guinness World Record Parade on Saturday 23rd July.

Two weekends of prime time races will be endured by the Jaguar, and 68 vehicles have now registered for the series, with the hope of over 60 cars on track during the qualifier. The aim is to get 58 E-Types racing the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, which to the Historic Car Club’s Grahame White ‘will be a memorable spectacle as the sun sinks lower through the evening’.

Covering a massive five events, the Jaguar E-Types 50th Birthday challenge will be one of the biggest racing grids of the season, managed by the Historic Car Club in conjunction with Jaguar Heritage and supported by JD Classics.
